O rushes up wiv a hot toddy and warm blankets!!!! Poor wee lamb, now
you take good care of yourself!
Oh thank you, O. By dose is all stuffd up!
By the way what exactly is a hot toddy? Is booze involved?
--Judith, sinking fast
Is booze involved? IS BOOZE INVOLVED???????????????????
Boy oh boy do you need to be hedicated:))
You need a very good glug (scientific measurement you understand) of
whisky, honey to taste and hot water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dat is
wot dat David drinks!
No! I make mine with brandy.
Post by OpheliaMy personal favourite is a good glug (see former explanation) of dark
rum, a spoon of brown sugar and hot milk! It tastes just like the rum
sauce I have on my Christmas pud:))
Either way, get your toddy, crawl into bad wiv a hot water bottle or
lecky blanket switched on.... drink your toddy and settle down in bliss.
Repeat as necessary!!!!!
Den report back
warm boozy hugsssssssssssssssssssssssss
O xxxx
and from me as well.
Thanks, David. Although if you start talking about the lovely warm
weather you're having, I may have a relapse.

I had a job interview a few years ago when it was 32ºC! I think it was a
record. Didn't get the job. Not only was I half asleep and suffering but so
was the interview panel as well! Within a few weeks it was unseasonably
freezing again.
That's the trouble with the UK. We never get time to get used to any
particular temperature because it's so damned changeable.
When I was a kid, we used to get months of pleasantly warm weather. Nowadays
it goes up and down like a yo-yo.
We used to get weeks of smog as well and people used to die - but that's a
horse of a different colour - dark grey.
Nowadays, they die of skin cancer instead!
I get the same creepy feeling on my skin walking out in the bright sun now
that I used to get walking under the pylons leading from the Dungeness Power
Station - even when there's no sun warning on the weather forecast. There's
gotta be something seriously wrong somewhere.
And the warnings on the weather forecast still give the impression that
you're only in danger if you deliberately go sun-bathing. Nothing about
walking around or working bare-chested, using sunscreen on bald heads and
the backs of your hands etc.
