His autobiography 'If I Don't Write It Nobody Else Will' is an
interesting read. Before I read it I, rather naively, thought that when
people did things for charity, they paid their own expenses. Sykes
writes about pro-am golf matches played "for charity" for which he was
flown first class to Rhodesia and put up in the best hotels, all paid
for by the charity.
